Timothy James "Tim" Walz (pronounced WAWLZ) was born on April 6, 1964. He is an American politician and former U.S. Army National Guard officer who currently serves as the 41st Governor of Minnesota. A member of the Minnesota Democratic-Farmer-Labor (DFL) party, Walz was first elected governor in 2018 and won re-election in 2022.
