Sir Keir Starmer has pledged that change begins now, as he said Britain would be waking up to the news of a Labour government. Speaking after the Labour Party secured more than 326 seats in the general election, Sir Keir said the fight for trust is the battle that defines our age. In his first major speech as the Labour leader at the 2021 party conference, Sir Keir said: "We are a party that is determined to change this country for the better. We are a party that is determined to fight for the many, not the few. And we are a party that is determined to win back the trust of the British people."
